Saw some smoke high on the horizon and thought it might be from a fire. Couldn’t be the Yosemite one as that’s over 500 miles away? So, I pulled up the official site: Gov. fire and smoke map

#1 image — not much to see — smoke from the south and east:

#2 image — looks like California is where the action is:

#3 image — OMG — What’s happening to Alaska?????

Why isn’t this the biggest story?
