A little Sister Statue to me, Victims Of Communism Statue

Victims of Communism Statue, USA

Well, today, I certainly have something to say, to my charges, the American People.

Today, as the hearings for the January 6th committees go on, which of course I have been following, as most here have been, (And here, I mean in the realm of the God's and Goddesses)-and to be honest, the popcorn, and Ambrosia have been overflowing big time when they have been on. To be honest, Dionysus, who was totally MAGA before the committee hearings, and has been reformed was hitting the wine a bit hard today.

But I digress. Today was special for me, as the symbol of not only immigrants but democracy. The hearing committee features a wonderful immigrant by the name of Stephanie Murphy. Now to hear that name, you would assume her to me perhaps from Irish immigrant stock. But although I love and adore, my Irish American immigrant charges, no that is not the case.

Stephanie Murphy is a special immigrant, from Vietnam, and was born born Đặng Thị Ngọc Dung; September 16, 1978.

Murphy is the first Vietnamese-American woman, first Vietnamese-American Democrat, and the second Vietnamese-American overall (after Republican South Vietnam-born Joseph Cao of Louisiana) to be elected to Congress.[1]

Stephanie Murphy, ne’ Đặng Thị Ngọc Dung-an Immigrant from Vietnam

Rep. Stephanie Murphy, an immigrant and a Jan 6th Committee member, who was a questioner in the Jan 6th Committee’s 7th session, and made an impassioned closing comment, that mad me very proud.

Her family fled Communist-controlled Vietnam in 1979 when she was six months old.[4] Their boat ran out of fuel and they were rescued by the United States Navy at sea.[5][6] They settled in Northern Virginia, where she grew up.[7]

With the help of Pell Grants and student loans, Murphy attended the College of William & Mary, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. She then went to Georgetown University, from which she received a Master of Science degree in foreign service

Murphy was sworn into office on January 3, 2017. She has urged the Federal Bureau of Investigation to investigate various bomb threats against Jewish facilities.[19] She joined the Blue Dog Coalition in the 115th U.S. Congress,[20] and in December 2018 was named one of three co-chairs, handling administration, for the 116th U.S. Congress.[21]

With the Democrats winning a majority in the House in 2018, Murphy was named to the Ways and Means Committee.[22]

In March 2019, Murphy endorsed Beto O'Rourke in the 2020 Democratic party presidential primaries.[23] After O'Rourke withdrew from the race, Murphy endorsed Michael Bloomberg in January 2020, becoming his campaign's national co-chair.[24] After Bloomberg withdrew in March 2020, Murphy endorsed Joe Biden.[25]

On December 20, 2021, Murphy announced on Twitter that she would not seek reelection to a fourth term, writing, "I've decided not to seek another term in Congress. Serving Central Florida has been the honor of my life, but it's also been incredibly challenging for my family and me." There was speculation that her decision was made because Republicans in the state legislature would redraw her into an unwinnable district, but the decision came several months before new maps were approved in May 2022

*I post as the Statue Of Liberty, in character, as if she was a living breathing Goddess, with an opinion, (usually progressive Democrat), and access to a computer a keyboard and internet access.)*

This does sadden me, as she will not be running again, but her presence today, and the way she conducted herself was brilliant. I am proud of her, as I am of all immigrants that pass by through or around me. (Well, I take that back. I am truly not that pleased with one Frederick Trump, but that is another story entirely.)

Frederick Trump, Trump s Grandfather, an Immigrant from Germany

Frederick Trump (born Friedrich Trump German pronunciation: [fʁi:dʁɪç tʁʊmp]; 14 March 1869 – 30 May 1918) was a German–American barber, businessman, and patriarch of the Trump family.

Born in the village of Kallstadt, in the Kingdom of Bavaria (now in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany), Trump trained as a barber and then immigrated to the United States at the age of 16 and continued his former trade. Several years later, in 1891, he moved to Seattle and began speculating in real estate. Trump then returned to Bavaria and married Elisabeth Christ, the daughter of a former neighbor. As he had purportedly migrated to America in order to evade conscription, the Bavarian Government stripped Trump of his citizenship and permanently banished him following an investigation. As a result, Trump and his family returned to the United States. He became a U.S. citizen in 1892.[citation needed] During the Klondike Gold Rush, Trump travelled to the Yukon Territory and made his fortune by operating a restaurant and a brothel for miners in the boomtown of Whitehorse.[2][3]

Trump worked as a hotel manager and was beginning to acquire real estate in Queens when he died in the 1918 flu pandemic. He was the father of three, including Frederick and John, and was the paternal grandfather of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump.

Why am I comparing these two immigrants? Well, one was spearheading the questioning of those who were duped and now denouncing the grandson of the other. Guess who is who? I can never always predict what will happen to those immigrants, I carry a torch for or their decedent or themselves for that matter. I can only hope they will somehow make me proud. As I have said, some do, and some...well-don’t.

Now, I would like to discuss the second reason why I am so elated today. It is because of the word, “Redemption”. Or perhaps, I should rephrase that? “Seeing the light?”. Can I, as a benevolent Goddess, carrier of the Torch of the flame of Democracy forgive those who come before me with a contrite heart, realizing they were duped and sorry for being a part of it, and willing to denounce it publicly loudly an d voraciously?

Yes.

Does it absolutely absolve them of everything they did, and wash clean their behaviors? No. And well it should not, for it is that remembrance, and remnant of behavior that will forever prevent a repeat performance, and the continued denunciation of all that they thought they stood for and now regret deeply.

It is also imperative that we listen and believe wheat they say, and heed their warning for the future. I was also, not quite impressed with Mr Cipollone’s testimony, as I believed he still protected 45 a bit too much, refusing to reveal conversations, and “Privileged” of which none exists according to the law. However, I will give him slight credit for revealing his “Inner thoughts”, but I do not credit him for not resigning much sooner. He still strikes me as slightly disingenuous. but then, I am overly sensitive to these nuances of mortal behavior. To put it another way, “Delayed Morality after the fact and indignation”.

The other two seemed a bit more sincere, since they being of a lower socioeconomic scale at least were a bit more contrite, and I believe they learned their lesson.

Nothing insults me more that domestic terrorism. Nothing. Seriously. I mean that.

All in all though today was a good day for democracy, and a horrible one for Domestic terrorists, and their supporters. Shame on those who use the opportunity to be American citizens for hate, lies, chaos and terrorism and traitorous and treasonous behavior.

I feel this was a good time now, for those that want to confess, and get it out of their systems to do so. It is time for you all to redeem yourselves, confess, and beg your fellow citizens to forgive you.

I will forgive, but I will not forget. it is all written in that book I carry around with me.

Signing off for now, as I am off to a meeting of The World Goddess Statue Conference in Geneva. can you believe it, some of them are bigger than me? Around the middle of course! Way too many sweets.
