Republican Matt Mowers continues to set the pace for fundraising in the 1st Congressional District Republican primary. The 2020 GOP nominee in CD-1 seeing a rematch with Rep. Chris Pappas will report a second-quarter haul of $385,000, according to his campaign. "I’m humbled by the support that our campaign has received throughout this campaign. Granite Staters know that Chris Pappas and Joe Biden have left them behind," Mowers said. "New Hampshire families are being left to foot the bill for the Pappas agenda while inflation and gas prices soar. As our next Congressman, I will stop the Biden agenda, protect Granite Stater’s paychecks and always put New Hampshire first." The Mowers campaign is touting its $1.56 million raised in this campaign cycle as a new record for a Republican congressional candidate, saying it outpaces the previous Q2 record of $1.3 million, which was set by Rep. Charlie Bass in 2012 when he was an incumbent. The current incumbent in the 1st Congressional District, Rep. Chris Pappas, reported a second-quarter fundraising total of $670,000 last week.
