Recent polling of generic Democrat v Republican races have the Democrats UP by 1.5%. 538

Now, even 538 admits they are not sure how real this number is, but it is one real average of six polls taken before and after the Dobbs decision. The story cautions against over-reacting. 538 has not moved their total polling averages to favor the Democrats, yet.

Me too. I caution over-reacting. However, no matter how you interpret the data, Democrats are close enough to close any gap that exists or increase any lead they may have. As are Republicans. As is said, “The game is afoot”.

I doubt anyone reading this needs this message, but it might be worth sharing with those a little less committed, as the battle comes to the end, we are within reach of victory. This is no time to despair, but time to double-down.

So, we will need messaging. We will need work. Probably, we will need a little luck. I’d put my effort into getting the messaging and work done correctly. Luck tends to follow, not lead, the other efforts.

Time to get back to work.
