Break the Goddam Blockade [1]

Russia wants to starve the world by depriving it of Ukrainian grain. To that end, Russia’s navy has imposed a blockade of Ukraine’s ports, including that of Odessa, which is still in Ukrainian hands.

We must not let that stand. A blockade is an act of war, and Russia insists that there is no state of war, which means it cannot legally use its navy to exclude foreign ships from Ukrainian ports. If the United States Navy were to escort an international fleet of cargo ships to Odessa, Russia could not fire on the ships as that would be an act of war against the United States.

So, why aren’t we doing this? Why do we allow Russia’s blockade to stand?
