Once again, Joe Sonka of the Louisville Courier-Journal reports the email exchange between the Biden Administration and Governor Andy Beshear over appointing anti-abortion Republican Federalist lawyer Chad Meredith to a District Court judge vacancy. It appears that President Biden made a deal with Mitch McConnell. Biden would appoint Meredith to a suddenly vacant position on the District Court 5 Eastern District of Kentucky. We know what Biden was going to do, but we do not know all the details of what Moscow Mitch “promised” to do for Biden. Because this deal stunk to High Heaven, Biden tried the old "pre-decisional and privileged information” bit to prevent release of the email exchange.
Govenor Beshear decided to released the email to the Courier- Journal.

To be Nominated tomorrow: 8. Stephen Chad Meredith: Candidate for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky Stephen Chad Meredith has been of counsel at Squire Patton Boggs in Cincinnati, Ohio since 2021. Mr. Meredith was previously the Solicitor General of Kentucky from 2019 to 2021. From 2015 to 2019, Mr. Meredith served as Chief Deputy General Counsel to Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin. He was in private practice at Ransdell & Roach from 2011 to 2015 and Frost Brown Todd from 2009 to 2011. Mr. Meredith served as a law clerk for Judge Amul Thapar on the United States District Court

in 2004. Sent from my iPhone
White House aide Kathleen M. Marshall, a former lieutenant governor in Nevada who joined the White House in August as senior adviser to governors in the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, sent the June 23 email that stated: "To be nominated tomorrow: … Stephen Chad Meredith: candidate for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky." The email, with a subject line of "Close hold," was sent to Coulter Minix, a Beshear staffer in the governor's D.C. office, who immediately replied: "Thanks, Kate. I'll share the info and appreciate the heads up." Judge nomination:Who is Chad Meredith, the anti-abortion Republican President Biden plans to make a judge? The term "close hold" is sometimes used for information that is not meant for wide distribution.
Emphasis is mine.
The next day, June 24th, the SCOTUS decided to nuke Roe. And suddenly, there was no announcement of Chad Meredith to the federal bench. Congressman John Yarmuth caught wind of this Biden nomination scheme, and he screamed bloody murder that Biden made a corrupt deal with Moscow Mitch. And it must have struck Governor Beshear in the head because he called the attempt to nominate the corrupt Meredith as “indefensible.”
Now, I have reported earlier that Meredith was involved with the corrupt pardons handed out by outgoing Governor Matt Bevin. Meredith denies he had any serious involvement with handing out a pay for pardon scheme. But he did.
Now, why am I harping on this? Biden has not announced the nomination of Meredith. But he also has not made a public statement that he WILL NOT appoint an anti-aborton Federalist political hack either. And until President Biden does that, I’m going to flog this issue.
This deal has real world consequences.
Email to contact the White House.
