The MSM is doing a lot of reactionary shitstirring, as the NY Times decided to pander to a writer and a readership intolerant of transpeople. Bette Midler got caught up in the language policing as twitterbots tried to ignore Midler’s history with the LGBTQ community as Vanity Fair hopped on the controversy.

Imagine creating a binary equivalent of Men’s Rights Advocacy and giving them some op-ed space. All such imaginary carping does is add a layer to disinform the public in order to promote more reactionary discourse with the falsest of false equivalence fallacies. Pamela Paul imagines a straw(wo)man to advance what now has become the latest right-wing trope. Women proving that “women are not the enemy” this way is the strangest version of self-hating philogyny.

The reality is not that “most of the ire at those who balk at this new gender ideology seems to be directed at women”. Likely the next MSM step will be more interviews of trump women in diners to support the existence of imaginary right-wing and left-wing allies trying to “erase women”.

Frack every language cop, because when you see reactionaries scolding others to assuage their intolerant discomfort, ACAB. The truth is that democracy is slipping through our fingers like a wet FART.
