White people in the United States are in crisis. The extent of the injustices upon which this country was built are obvious to all who will look, and yet, because of fear, guilt, and lingering hatred, we will not act in solidarity to right the wrongs –a necessary and essential step to creating a healthier, happier, and more prosperous society. Racism is the legacy handed down to us through our institutions, laws, and familial attitudes. Multiculturalism is our strength and the promise for a better future for all. The human capacity for love is our hope.

I believe in redemption, but redemption is possible only if we face the truth, and act on its implications. Of this, I am resolute. This video short is an affirmation of this truth and a wish for freedom for all of us.
