We must play chess for Democracy and Women's lives [1]

WE MUST PLAY CHESS FOR WOMEN RIGHTS, CIVIL RIGHTS, DEMOCRACY

I was a little girl of seven when my dad taught me how to play chess. This wonderful game helped me mentally in my career as a scientist and my decisions in life. No, I was not playing chess on a board I was always trying to analyze a problem by imagining possibilities and eliminating the ones that had less chance to work and see three moves ahead from a problem.

So, I have taken the liberty to use chess as a metaphor.

SCOTUS is out there to take away our freedom. It is not just abortion rights, it could be contraception, how about tube ligation, same sex marriage, voting rights, separation of church and state, an attack also to the fight against climate change.

We must play chess, think three or four moves ahead of SCOTUS and Republicans who want a Theocracy and fascist regime in our country.

We cannot be surprised again. I saw some wacko Republican saying that “This is the Christian Taliban”. Well, the Taliban also ban girls from receiving an education.

We need to think ahead, that is chess. Even if we think that SCOTUS is going to stop with abortion or gay rights or civil rights, how do we know that the same “logic” they used for banning abortion, etc. will not be used to take away the right for women to vote? The right of women to go to university and get a PhD?

Abortion bans of course will devastating for women, but women are going to fight, play chess and find another way. When they see this, SCOTUS may strike again. So, we women and men should be ahead.

How?

1- Get rid of apps where you discuss abortion or travel for abortion.

2- Get enough contraceptives

3- Get enough plan B pills or abortion pills.

3- If you are thinking about tube ligation, do it now.

4- Get really good grades in college

5- Do not trust condoms

6- VOTE!!

7- Know about the bans, now about your left-over rights but erase your searches from Google.

Paranoid?

No, it is just playing chess.
