Trump derided Jan. 6 committee witness Cassidy Hutchinson as 'this girl' in a new rant, but the story is moving past that to other fact witnesses like Pat Cipollone.
George Conway in a WaPo op-ed now argues that we’re finally in smoking gun territory with her testimony, and it’s more about OJ stealing memorabilia, because actual firearms and Trump’s encouragement have entered the story.
Any defense of the insurrection cannot use a reason like “willful blindness” beyond Wilford Brimley telling us “it’s the right thing to do” to indict and convict Trump.
Assuming Pat Cipollone is forthright, more about the quiet things said out loud will be available in the coming Select Committee hearings.
It was a coup with at least two elements: the election procedures that are even now being corrupted at the state level for 2024, and the aiding and abetting violent force on 6 January 2021 to advance the former when seizing power got jeopardized.
