Wow.
That was a really good history lesson.
Some things are just worth fighting for, especially when one branch of government, exercises such an out of step over-reach. In one court decision after another.
Just the threats of expanding the court and enacting a “talking filibuster,” has been enough to pare back such abuses of power in the past.
Why should today be any different?
The bipartisanship that so many in power are trying to protect — well, that “ship has sailed” — likely not to return again, anytime soon.
Dems need to take a stand and fight, for what the majority of the American people want — otherwise what’s the point? Mitch McConnell is not going to get all reasonable anytime soon, no matter how much deference he is shown, by those hood-winked filibuster-supporters.
That ship has sailed too. Time to launch some new missions. Long past time.
