Cuba reports 742 new cases of COVID-19 and one deceased – Canal Caribe

The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reports on its website that at the close of yesterday, Thursday, March 17, 742 new positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed.

To detect the new cases, a total of 12,891 samples were analyzed. The provinces with the highest incidence of the disease are: Sancti Spíritus, with 137 cases, Ciego de Ávila, with 101, and Holguín with 80.

21 patients are treated in intensive care, 6 of them in critical condition and 15 in serious condition. 549 clinical discharges were granted and one death was reported as a result of the disease.
