Work of the Ministry of Agriculture in 2019 has been analyzed – Canal Caribe

The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez attended this Thursday the balance of the Ministry of Agriculture.

For more than two hours, the results of the past year in food production were analyzed, a stage in which serious input limitations were present, derived from the intensification of the United States blockade.

In the debate, the alternatives applied in the productive scenario to face these deficiencies were deepened, and it was advocated to generalize the best experiences.

Despite all the limitations, the agriculture system plans to grow in 2020 in productions such as rice, eggs, pork, corn for animal feed, coffee and twisted tobacco for export.
