Cuban artistic education, during 2020 and 2021, has had moments of happiness, despite the atypical conditions imposed by the pandemic. Boys, girls and adolescents of this education have participated in important international competitions, where some have been awarded.

Since this Tuesday, the study of reporters of Radio Habana Cuba bears the name of Alejo Carpentier. A canvas that reveals an image of the famous writer, occupies this space where the Cuban intellectual directed the radio program: Culture in Cuba and the world.

The national prize for literature, Graciela Pogolotti, along with several members of the Alejo Carpentier Foundation, attended this meeting.

At the meeting, the relevance of the journalism of the person who deserved the Cervantes Prize was highlighted and it was also possible to listen to a fragment of one of the radio programs that Alejo Carpentier made in this recording studio that from today bears his name.

Graciela Pogolotti also underlined Alejo Carpentier’s attachment to radio and how he used that medium to be present in the debates of the times.
