Díaz-Canel receives leader of the Democratic Revolutionary Party of Panama

The President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received on Tuesday afternoon the companion Pedro Miguel González Pinzón, general secretary of the Democratic Revolutionary Party of Panama (PRD), who visits our country invited by the Central Committee of the Communist Party from Cuba.

In a fraternal environment, they talked about the historical brotherhood relations between the two nations and highlighted the decisive contribution to them by the Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz and General Omar Torrijos Herrera, founder of the PRD.

Likewise, they ratified the interest of continuing to deepen the ties that unite the two parties and peoples. During the meeting, the Panamanian leader expressed his satisfaction for visiting our country and condemned the resurgence of the criminal blockade imposed on Cuba by the administration of President Donald Trump.

The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Héctor Bolívar Alemán Estévez, secretary of International Relations of the PRD, and Reynaldo Rivera Escudero, ambassador of Panama in our country. The deputy head of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Juan Carlos Marsán Aguilera, participated on the Cuban side.
