Cuba appreciates donation from countries and solidarity groups to face COVID-19

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, thanked several nations for their solidarity in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in the Caribbean nation.

In his official Twitter account, the Cuban president stressed that, in the last hours, donations arrived from Australia, the Netherlands, Italy and Japan. Díaz Canel described the aid as a solidarity chain that was opened in the hardest moments and still continues.

Hospital supplies, medical equipment, syringes for the anticovid-19 vaccination and food are some of the aids, which have come from more than 50 countries, as well as from international organizations, movements of solidarity with Cuba and groups of Cubans abroad, have arrived in the Greater Antilles.
