['Please Enter Your Name Here']
Date: 2021-10
On February 24, the new Public Charge rule that denies the dream of entering that territory and receiving government benefits entered into force in the United States.
This new protocol will regulate the way in which from now on federal government employees will determine whether or not to grant a migratory benefit, for example: a visa, an extension of stay or a permanent legal residence, known as a green card or green card. The new policy changes for the first time a system that had been implemented since 1965, and which regulated the immigration system determining who are the foreigners who can enter and remain in that country, either as Nonimmigrant or Immigrant …
The report by the journalist Irma Shelton offer the details Until this February 24, the process for obtaining a visa or residence in the US included demonstrating that you as a foreigner had the resources to pay your expenses and not depend on the government. But the new rule adds another set of factors in a new equation that includes, for example, age, health status or level of study.
With the new policy, the decision is now in the hands of immigration agents. They as government representatives will have the authority to deny visas or residences if applicants or family members are going to benefit from public assistance, including Medicaid, a children’s feeding program or food stamps. For the defenders of the rights of immigrants, the new measure is extremist that leaves immigrants who suffer from chronic, old, uneducated or poor illnesses without benefit. Now, only immigrants who meet the demonstration of wealth demanded by President Donald Trump can touch the doors of the United States and apply for a visa or green card to fulfill the so-called American dream.
