Nine cases of Covid-19 diagnosed

At the close of yesterday, July 29, 406 patients were admitted to hospitals for epidemiological clinical surveillance. Another 3,346 are monitored in primary health care. For COVID-19, 3,455 samples were studied, resulting in nine positive samples.
The country accumulates 260 thousand 451 samples made and 2,597 positive (1%). Therefore, at the close of yesterday, nine new cases were confirmed, with a cumulative of 2,597 in the country.
The nine diagnosed cases are Cuban. Of these, six (66.6%) were confirmed case contact and three (33.3%) had a source of infection abroad. Of the nine confirmed cases, six (66.6%) women and three (33.3%) men. The affected age groups were: 41 to 59 years old with four cases (44.4%), under 20 years old and 20 to 40 years old with two (22.2%) each and over 60 years old with one (11.1%). 88.8% (8) of the diagnosed cases were asymptomatic.
