Memorial Peace Prize Awarded to the Henry Reeve Medical Contingent

The Henry Reeve International Brigade of Cuban doctors will be honored with the Memorial Prize for Peace and Solidarity among the Peoples, awarded by the organization Service, Peace and Justice (Serpaj), an important group for the defense of human rights based in Argentina.
The organization that promotes the culture of peace led by the Nobel Prize winner Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, decided to present the award to the International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics of the Caribbean nation, for the noble task deployed in the most remote places to save lives in time of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The ceremony will be held online and will feature representations of Serpaj Latin America, from countries such as Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay and Uruguay, in which each secretariat will distinguish one person or organization in your country.
The social organization founded in 1974, awards the Memorial for Peace award to people, institutions or organizations that, through their activity and presence, seek to contribute to the construction of a society based on the ethics of human rights and respect among Peoples.
