Cuba will declare quarantine in stages

The national civil defense staff, issued information note number ONE, on the measures to be taken to comply with the Covid-19 quarantine in our country.

The note refers that the quarantine will be established in a phased manner, taking into account the limits of the block, district, popular council, municipality and province, in correspondence with the behavior of the disease and by decision of the National Temporary Group at the proposal of the presidents of the Provincial Defense Councils.

The quarantine measure includes the strict limitation and prohibition of the movement of the population to and from the areas affected by the disease, and other sanitary measures. The population is oriented to participate actively and responsibly in complying with the measures guided by the Ministry of Public Health and the defense councils of the territories, to contribute to the success of the active investigation and the corresponding isolation actions in each case, to assist health institutions at the first symptoms of the disease and stay informed through the official mass media …
