Cuba reports 3 833 cases of Covid-19 and 39 deaths

The national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported this Thursday 39 deaths and 3,833 positive samples for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, for a cumulative of 907,941 diagnoses since the beginning disease in the nation.

During his usual press conference, the specialist reported that at the close of yesterday 48,818 patients were admitted, of them 25,948 suspects, 2,722 in epidemiological surveillance and 20,148 confirmed assets.

Durán explained that the country analyzed 42,366 samples the day before for a cumulative 9,845,683 samples analyzed.

The epidemiologist announced that of the 3 833 patients, 3 817 have a source of infection in previously confirmed cases, 15 have a source of infection abroad and in 1 people the source of infection is unknown. Autochthonous 3 818.

Regarding the age groups, 715 children under 18 years of age were diagnosed, and 667 in pediatric ages (27 under one year). In the ages 20 to 39 years, 914 cases were confirmed, between 40 and 59 years, 1,262 cases, and 942 people over 60 years of age.
