The director-general of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, in a briefing with member states on Thursday, warned that the coronavirus “is not under control” and the pandemic continues to “accelerate and worsen.” The head of the WHO insisted that the virus “knows no borders or differences” and has widened and deepened the cracks that already existed in societies.
