The President of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez highlighted on Wednesday in his Twitter account the internationalist legacy of the Commanding General Máximo Gómez Báez.

On the 115th anniversary of his death, a political act and military ceremony took place in Havana in the mausoleum erected in the Colón Cemetery … The ceremony was presided over by Army Corps General Ramón Espinosa Martín, a member of the Committee’s Political Bureau Party Central and Deputy Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces… Víctor Gaute López, head of the Ideological Department of the Central Committee, and Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, First Secretary of the Party in Havana, also attended… Also attended by Heads of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and the association of fighters of the Cuban Revolution.
