USA: 61 years of the program of covert actions against Cuba

This Wednesday marks the 61st anniversary of the approval of the document: “A covert action program against the Castro Regime.” With him, on March 17, 1960, the president of the United States, DWIGHT DAVID EISENHOWER, established as official policy of his government various covert actions, with the aim of overthrowing the young Cuban Revolution.

Among them, the formation of a Cuban organization in exile to provide the operations to be carried out by the Central Intelligence Agency. These and other measures, accompanied by various diplomatic actions, such as the political isolation of the revolutionary government, were considered more than sufficient to create an unsustainable situation for the Cuban process.

Since then, the United States’ policy against Cuba has cost the Antillean nation human lives and deprivation, but failed in its intentions, given the immediate response of the Cuban people to these infamous measures.
