President of Venezuela starts visiting Russia

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, arrived in Russia on Tuesday to hold a meeting with his counterpart Vladimir Putin, and strengthen bilateral cooperation relations

Maduro stressed that during his stay in Russia he plans to meet with representatives of important business groups of the Eurasian nation. Meanwhile, the leaders will address the current cooperation between the two nations in the areas of economic, social and cultural.

The Venezuelan president stressed that these meetings are part of the Economic Recovery, Growth and Prosperity Program to reduce the impact of sanctions and the financial blockade illegally imposed by the United States Government.
