Lenin Moreno asked for the resignation of his entire Cabinet of Ministers

The president of Ecuador, Lenin Moreno, on Thursday called for the resignation of the entire ministerial cabinet, as confirmed by the National Communication Secretariat through a press release.

According to the statement, Moreno intends to conduct an evaluation process during the last weeks of 2018, on which he will inform the public in due course. It is the second occasion in which the president asks for the resignation of his ministers.

After the last evaluation, only a couple of members of the ministerial council were replaced. Among those who have already resigned are Richard Martínez, Minister of Economy and Finance; Fander Falconí, Minister of Education; and Andrés Michelena, Secretary of Communication.
