With great consternation, the Ministry of Culture, the National Council of Performing Arts and the Artistic Agency of Performing Arts ACTUAR of Cuba mourn the death in Havana, of the first actor Enrique Molina, National Television Award 2020, creditor of the Felix Varela Order , the ACTUAR Award for the Work of Life 2018 and Honorary Title in the first edition of the Enrique Almirante Award in 2015.
Enrique Molina’s masterful performances will always remain in the popular imagination. At the age of 78, that great of the artistic panorama of the largest of the Antilles, had ventured into various fields, radio, film and television, where he built a long and solid professional career. The Silvestre Cañizo de Tierra Brava, the Sixto of the Hidden Face of the Moon and his many other characters in Cuban soap operas, will not let him be forgotten. One of the most relevant actors in our country.
Through social networks, the expressions of affection and respect towards Enrique Molina’s family and the Cuban people in general have been dissimilar. Actors, co-stars, many of those who shared with him during his extensive career today lament the physical departure of the man who knew how to masterfully embody his various characters in film, theater and television.
