EU countries receive the first doses against Covid-19

European countries received today the first doses of the drug against Covid-19 developed by the American laboratory Pfizer and the German company BioNTech, to begin its application tomorrow Sunday.
Although each country will establish its priorities, the first citizens to receive the vaccine will be the elderly and health personnel. Considering that Europe is the region of the world where the virus spreads most rapidly, the Hungarian government advanced this Saturday the start of the long-awaited vaccination campaign.
In Latin America, the various heads of state also signed agreements with nations and companies to acquire the Sputnik V or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines. Countries such as Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Costa Rica are already beginning to implement their strategic vaccination plan by social sectors, to combat the regrowth and gradually reopen strategic economic sectors such as tourism.
The start of vaccinations coincides with a recent alert from the World Health Organization, after a new strain of Covid-19 was detected in eight countries in Europe.
