Cuba reports 20 new positive cases to COVID-19

At the close of yesterday, April 26, 3 thousand 546 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance. Another 5 thousand 556 people are watched in their homes, from the Primary Health Care.

For COVID-19, 1,823 samples were studied, resulting in 20 positive samples. The country accumulates 41,651 thousand samples made and 1,389 positive (3.3%). Therefore, at the close of yesterday, 20 new cases are confirmed, for a cumulative of 1,389 in the country.

The 20 new confirmed cases were Cuban. Of these, 19 (95%) were contacts of confirmed cases and 1 (5%) did not specify the source of infection. Of the 20 diagnosed cases, 9 (45%) were female and 11 (55%) male.

The most affected age groups were: under 40 with 10 cases (50.0%), followed by the 40 to 60 year group with 9 cases (45%). 65% (13) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
