The delegates of the first Internet Governance Forum, which is meeting at the Havana Convention Center, received an update on the computerization program of the society that is carried out in Cuba.
According to official figures, there are currently more than 1270 public sites for wifi access scattered throughout the island, more than 670 navigation rooms, as well as 1 million 900 thousand people with service through Nauta permanent accounts. For specialists, one of the principles of internet use on the island is to achieve full participation of all sectors of society. The program of the forum on its second day includes a lecture on new trends in digital political communication, by Cuban journalist Rosa Miriam Elizalde; as well as a panel on e-government for local development
