American Airlines suspends flights to Venezuela

The American airline American Airlines indefinitely suspended its flights to Venezuela, according to this March 28 the company said in a statement.

According to the airline, the cancellation of flights is for “security reasons”. The measure comes after the March 15, the Association of Allied Pilots in the US. recommend to the company not to make trips to the Bolivarian nation.

American Airlines said it will continue working in Venezuela when conditions are right, a company spokeswoman told Reuters news agency.

Recall that after the breakdown of relations between Caracas and Washington on January 23, the US State Department issued a travel alert to recommend its citizens not to move to the South American country.
