Díaz-Canel thanks the support of Non-Aligned countries to Cuba

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, today thanked the Movement of Non-Aligned countries for their support of Cuba in the face of the blockade imposed by the United States on the archipelago.

On his Twitter account, the Cuban president wrote:

«We thank the brothers of the NAM for their permanent support to Cuba. In a courageous and dignified text, through their Coordination Bureau meeting in New York, they rejected the attempts to destabilize and interfere in the internal affairs of the island, and demanded the end of the blockade.

The document also rejected the actions that promote disorder in the largest of the Antilles and considered them a flagrant violation of the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter and International Law.
