Authorized emergency use of Cuban medication Itolizumab to treat COVID-19

The Center for State Control of Medicines, Equipment and Devices (CECMED) today announced the authorization of the emergency use of the drug ITOLIZUMAB, a product of the Center for Molecular Immunology, belonging to BioCubaFarma. This monoclonal antibody has been used, with encouraging results in the national protocol, for the care of critically ill and critically ill patients with COVID-19.
