Electoral Council of Ecuador announces vote count in 17 provinces

The agreement to recount the votes was agreed between the second and third places of the first round, with the National Electoral Council and the Organization of American States … In sight, a plan to delay the electoral process, while feeding the rhetoric of fraud , to buy time until the second round, on April 11. The Ecuadorian Electoral Council did not provide evidence of the fraud. It will count 100% fair in the province of Guayas, where UNIÓN por la Esperanza won, with almost 42% of the votes. The decision left out the other candidates, in particular the winner in the first round, Andrés Arauz, who won in the country with 32.70% of the total votes, although they were not enough for the final victory.
