Díaz-Canel evaluates the Party’s work in Matanzas

The exchange allows offering follow-up to the 8th Congress of the political group, held last April, and will focus its attention on the application of the concepts, ideas and guidelines emanating from the analysis of the event.

The first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Miguel Díaz-Canel, today makes a visit to the western province of Matanzas to give continuity to the cycle of meetings on the role of that political organization.

In his official Twitter account, the president of the Republic also reported that he was on his way to that territory together with the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the PCC, and announced a similar meeting for this afternoon in Havana.

The exchange allows to offer follow-up to the 8th Congress of the political group, held last April, and will focus its attention on the application of the concepts, ideas and guidelines emanating from the analysis of the event.

The day before, similar meetings took place in the central provinces of Villa Clara and Cienfuegos.

Aspects debated were the ideological struggle, the strengthening of the internal life of the PCC, the strategy for the economic development of the country, the need to revitalize the mass organizations and attention to the base structures of the Union of Young Communists.
