Deputies analyze core issues of the Cuban economy

With the presence of Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Councils of State and of Ministers, this morning in the Havana Convention Center, the ten Permanent Work Commissions meet before the Third Extraordinary Session of the IX Legislature convened for next Saturday.

The Commissions will also include in their sessions the updating of the science system, the results of actions to mitigate the impacts of noise pollution and the strategy of the Cuban government for compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals.

During his speech this Thursday at the Havana Convention Center in the debate among Cuban deputies about the results of the inspection of the construction materials stores for subsidized workers, the head of state noted, in the voice of the legislators themselves, several deficiencies that still threaten the political will to solve an accumulated problem such as housing.

Participating in the session were members of the Political Bureau of the Party, Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the ANPP and Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers, and Inés María Chapman, also Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers.
