Cuba reports 9,740 cases of Covid-19 and 84 deaths

The national director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health Francisco Durán, reported this Saturday the detection of 9,740 new cases with SARS-CoV-2, the pathogen that causes COVID-19, and 84 deaths from complications with the disease.

Our country thus accumulates 573 751 diagnosed with this coronavirus since March 11, 2020 and 4 481 deaths, the manager detailed in a television conference.

To date, 104,628 people remain admitted to both hospital institutions and their homes, 53,031 of them suspects; 4 614 under surveillance and 46 983 with active virus.

For the detection of the coronavirus, 48,705 samples were studied the day before and a total of 7,437,032 tests were analyzed on the island.
