The Council of State of the Republic of Cuba met on Tuesday afternoon, in a meeting chaired by Esteban Lazo Hernández, in which Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz participated. Through the videoconference modality, from the National Capitol, that body analyzed, in accordance with one of its constitutional powers, the draft laws on the organization and operation of the Provincial Government and the Municipal Administration Council, which will be submitted for consideration shortly.

With the aim of tempering the regulations for the activity of the Mercantile Registry to the current conditions, the Council of State, in the same way, agreed to modify Decree Law 226, of December 6, 2001, which establishes the rules for the organization and operation of this activity. The members of the Council of State also received information on the Plan for Food Sovereignty and Nutrition Education in Cuba.
