Palestine – Israel conflict escalates in the Middle East

The Security Council of the United Nations Organization today hosts an open debate via videoconference to address the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Palestine, which alarms the international community.

The meeting comes as the world condemns Israel for brutality and excessive use of force against the Palestinian civilian population. The Ministry of Health of that Arab country reported that the attacks caused the death of 202 people, including several children and 5,588 injured.

Meanwhile, Pope Francis at a special Mass for Burma, celebrated this morning in St. Peter’s Basilica, launched a call for peace in the Middle East.
