Miguel Díaz-Canel: The fundamental battle of Cuba is the economic one

The president of the Councils of State and Ministers Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez intervened in the Economic Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of People’s Power. He reaffirmed that the economic battle today is the fundamental and most demanding task of the Revolution.
At the beginning of his speech, Díaz-Canel said to take into account the circumstances and moments in which the Cuban economy unfolds, mentioned the financial, economic and commercial siege of the United States against Cuba, whose laws and prohibitions have been intensified;Examples of this hostile policy are Cuban accounts receivable abroad
He added that the fundamental battle of the country is the battle for the economy, called for strengthening economic teams in the entities where they should be, he said, the most capable, the best graduates of Cuban universities for decades.
At another time, he called for the strengthening of socialist state enterprises and for their connection with foreign investment and mixed entities. He explained the benefits of foreign investment for development.
