A Peruvian judge will analyze next Monday, June 21st, the request of the Prosecutor’s Office against the presidential candidate, Keiko Fujimori, to return to provisional prison, pending a decision whether to open a trial for alleged money laundering, Telesur highlights.

The prosecutor’s request came after verifying that Keiko Fujimori had contact during the electoral campaign with witnesses of the investigation, one of the prohibitions imposed within the conditional release that was granted in 2020.

Meanwhile, the National Electoral Board annulled a decision to extend the deadline for the presentation of nullity of electoral records. The virtual winner of the elections, Pedro Castillo, had rejected such a move, considering it an attempted coup.
