International Update: El Salvador Breaks Anticorruption Agreement with OAS

El Salvador broke the so-called anti-corruption agreement with the Organization of American States (OAS).President Nayib Bukele announced at a press conference that the measure responds to the decision of the Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, to appoint Ernesto Muyshondt as an advisor; who was mayor of San Salvador.

The former official, under house arrest, is prosecuted for corruption, electoral fraud, illicit associations and pacts with gangs, in the Central American country, reports RT.

According to Bukele, it is completely nonsense that we are trying to combat impunity, precisely with the people who are promoting impunity in El Salvador.
