Governor of Alabama meets with Cuban diplomat

The governor of the American state of Alabama, the Republican Kay Ivey, received Miguel Fraga, first secretary of the Embassy of Cuba here, who concludes today a working visit to that southern territory.

According to his schedule, the diplomat of the Caribbean country will have meetings of business interest on Tuesday and a tour of the port of Mobile.

During the meeting of Ivey and Fraga, both sides discussed the opportunities that the two countries have through academic, commercial, cultural and sports exchange.

They reiterated their commitment to continue working to improve bilateral relations based on mutual respect and goodwill.
