Rainfall in recent months delays tobacco planting in Pinar del Río

Pinar del Río concludes the month of December with just over fifty percent of the 19,700 hectares planned to be planted in the current tobacco campaign. From October to date there have been many limitations of basic resources for this crop, especially fuel and fertilizers, but the vegueros back and forth do not renounce their planting plan and will appeal for it to January, and if necessary, early February.
