The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, reaffirmed this Thursday the expression “Homeland and Life” as one of the convictions of our country. In his official Twitter account, the president wrote: “We will not let those who traffic in the pain and needs of the people empty it of meaning.” The president insisted that he “vindicates the homeland and life of Fidel Castro and the revolutionaries of Cuba.” He also pointed out that “having a responsible government, with a development plan, with universal and free public health, and with an organized civil society willing to mobilize for a common cause” is the true meaning of this expression coined by the historical leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro.
“Homeland and Life” is “to promote the monetary system, with its complexities and adjustments, that part of the State budget has been allocated to financial aid to artists with activities halted by the pandemic, and to maintain the school year in and out of the classrooms “, emphasized the president. “Also the sending of health professionals of high technical level and commitment to other countries to contribute to the confrontation of the health crisis, is another example of how this small country gives life to the world”.
