Cuban physicians assist affected people in Guatemala

From Guatemala we have been informed that the Cuban medical brigade en Escuintla made a fruitful day today of active inquiry in the Mixed Urban Federation ¨Jose Martí¨, turned into a shelter to assist the affected people by the eruption of Fire volcano.

Our collaborators stay there since the very first moment of the tragedy in 12 hours shifts all the early morning when the volunteer physicians retire and increase the risks. The following day they incorporate to their tasks in the hospital.

Cuba has set to the disposal of the Guatemala government all of her medical brigade, spread all over the 22 departments of the country and with 20 years of uninterrupted presence in this country.
