Cuba reports 30 new positive cases to COVID-19

At the close of yesterday, April 28, 3 thousand 68 patients are admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance. Another 6,839 people are monitored in their homes, from the Primary Health Care.

For COVID-19, 1,836 samples were studied, resulting in 30 positive samples. The country accumulates 45 thousand 344 samples made and thousand 467 positive (3.2%). Therefore, at the close of yesterday, 30 new cases are confirmed, for a cumulative of 1,467 in the country.

The 30 new confirmed cases were Cuban. Of these, 23 (76.6%) were contacts of confirmed cases and 7 (23.4%) did not specify the source of infection.

Of the 30 diagnosed cases, 11 (36.7%) were women and 19 (63.3%) men. The most affected age groups were: under 40 years of age with 17 cases (56.6%), followed by the group of 40 to 60 years with 7 cases (23.3%). 36.7% (11) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
