Covid-19 in Cuba: 1221 new cases and 14 deaths

Western Cuba maintains the most complex epidemiological situation. In all the provinces, a high transmission persists, even the special municipality of the island of youth reported one case, after 30 days.

The other territory with a high number of infections is Santiago de Cuba.

At the close of yesterday, May 22, 28 thousand 817 patients were admitted, 4 thousand 377 suspects, 17 thousand 556 under surveillance and 6 thousand 884 confirmed active.

For COVID-19, 22,430 samples were studied, resulting in 1,221 positive samples. The country accumulates 4 million 150 thousand 241 samples made and 133 thousand 053 positive.
