This Monday was inaugurated in the Aula Magna of the University of Havana the first international seminar: “Dialogue on Human Rights”.

The blockade is an act of war

The economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States against Cuba creates difficulties for the implementation of Cuban programs in favor of human rights, said a UN expert on Monday.

Nationally, an immense effort is made for the country to comply with its international and national humanitarian obligations, despite the restrictions and shortcomings of the US siege, said in exclusive statements to the Cuban News Agency Magalys Arocha Dominguez, vice president of the Committee for Science the elimination of discrimination against women (CEDAW, for its acronym in English).

Exemplified with the case of education, the problems that arise in the acquisition and renewal of elementary material resources, including books, notebooks and blackboards, while in public health occurs the same, especially with medicines produced in other nations, which they contain American raw materials or are from transnational companies.
