The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported on Friday that the Bolivarian government and delegations of various opposition groups agreed to establish a permanent political dialogue to reach peace agreements.
“This week, in Barbados, a historic day of work was developed with the six points that were agreed with the government of Norway and the sectors of the right. Three days of intense work “, informed the Head of State in his official Twitter account.
Maduro clarified that the Executive has no problems publicly announcing the details of what happened, “but there is an agreement between the parties not to reveal the specific issues that are being discussed. We can only say that there are six points of an agreed agenda, agreed, “he said. From the town of Cúa, state of Miranda, where he delivered the two million 700 thousand home built by the Great Housing Mission Venezuela, the president asked the governor of the demarcation, Héctor Rodríguez, to report on his experience in the process initiated in Oslo, and that he was later transferred to Barbados.
During three intense days of dialogue and peace with the opposition sectors, we listened to the aspirations, reflections and requests made by the different groups, “confirmed the leader. Likewise, he explained that the Government ratified the will to install the table permanently, so as a result of what was transmitted by the right, “work together for the peace of the country,” Rodriguez summarized. On the other hand, revealed that in the days in Norway and the Caribbean island, the Bolivarian delegation reiterated “the sad violent chronology and nothing positive of the history of the opposition against Venezuelans,” he said.
The leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela said that after the death of commander Hugo Chávez in 2013, and the electoral triumph of Maduro, opponents called to destabilize the country by any means. In this regard, Rodríguez recalled that in 2014 La Salida operation began, causing deaths and injuries, which unleashed the following year in the so-called six-month agenda, in order to stop the economic development of Venezuela. In that line, he recalled the actions of political violence in the streets of 2017 where more than 100 people died; the attempted assassination against the political-military high command on August 4, 2018, and the application this year of the “self-proclaimed” strategy, with its requests for invasion, economic war and coups d’état.
In that sense, Rodriguez stressed that despite these agendas opposing terrorist actions, “which do not generate confidence in anyone,” the Government carry forward the program of dialogue for the benefit of the population. He warned that the process “will be complex and not simple, because with the differences between the various opposition spokesmen it takes a lot of work and patience.”
